Gov. Rick Perry today issued the following statement upon learning of the death of Reynaldo Garza of Brownsville, a former justice of the U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals.
"Judge Reynaldo Garza served as an inspiration to generations of Mexican-Americans and South Texans, a living testimonial to the American dream and the ability to rise above humble beginnings to achieve professional greatness. Anita and I have his family in our prayers."
