U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor joined with the Congressional Black Caucus today in an organized protest and "walk out" of the U.S. House chamber when Republicans called for a vote to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt.
"I stand with the Congressional Black Caucus in opposing this hyper-partisan attempt to hold our Attorney General in contempt," Castor said. "The House has never held a U.S. Attorney General in contempt. Grounds simply do not exist for such action. Due to the historic nature of General Holder's appointment, now would be a disheartening time to start. Let's focus on what really matters to Floridians: finding ways to create jobs in our community."
