U.S. Representative Frank A. LoBiondo (NJ-02) today announced a $137,000 federal grant and $263,000 low-interest loan from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA)'s Rural Development office to assist Weymouth Township Municipal Utilities Authority make improvements to their sanity sewer system.
"USDA has been a great partner with many communities in South Jersey throughout the years to upgrade public infrastructure and today's announcement is proof of the positive results that can be achieved," said LoBiondo. "This federal funding will be very beneficial to Weymouth Township as the make critical improvements to protect public health."
The total project cost is $400,000. USDA awarded the low-interest loan at a rate of 2.75 percent for 40 years.
