I respect Governor Snyder's constitutional authority to sign an inter-local agreement with Canada, however I am disappointed that he choose to work around the legislative process. Legislation was introduced in the Senate, however I do not believe that legislative efforts were entirely exhausted. The hardworking taxpayers of Michigan elected their representatives to make decisions on their behalf, but the legislature has been removed from the process.
