Republicans rejected compromise on the mining bill. The Assembly cut Stewardship funds by $234 million. The Legislature voted to allow developers to destroy wetlands and they killed jobs by stalling bipartisan rules on wind energy.

I believe we need mining and wind energy and that Republicans threw away opportunities to add jobs and protect the environment. If you hunt, fish, or if you simply love wildlife, you should want our wetlands protected. The Stewardship Fund has preserved hunting and fishing opportunities since its creation.
