The Republican Legislature voted to kick 64,000 people, including 29,000 children, off Badger Care. They voted to cap Family Care, a cost effective program that provides ways to keep frail elderly people at home instead of in nursing homes or other institutions.
I believe that Wisconsin needs to help provide health care to its poorest families and children. Family Care helps the elderly and saves money for them, their families and the state. It doesn't make economic sense to cut or cap the program.
