Issue Position: American Exceptionalism

American Exceptionalism is the belief that the United States of America has a special place among nations of the world and to human history. This comes from terms of our national credo, our historical significance, our political institutions and special origins that we as Americans have shared. The roots of American Exceptionalism are from Alexis de Tocqueville, who at the time claimed that the 50 year old United States held a special place among nations because the United States is a country of immigrants and given the title of the first modern Republic.

I do believe that America is exceptional and with our roots and history, we need to re-capture the "Spirit of America" especially after 3 years of an American-hating president. As a constitutional conservative, I believe our innovations, our creativeness, work ethic and our special place among nations as people can once more be paramount and shown with great exceptionalism. As we Americans stare into the face of dire liberalism, let us together bridge our differences and show that we are the nation of immigrants to be placed as an exception among nations.

We must lead by example with good and just cause in foreign affairs, shown domestically by being good and faithful stewards of governance of our Constitution, and rely on our constituents as being the compass that, if I am to be elected to Michigan's 7th District will come to happen.

We must once again become faithful to our founding father's vision, and we now need to show how proud we truly are. Our 40th President Ronald Reagan commented with the quote "the shining city on the hill" but we are more than that, and shall once more be just as Reagan termed America, but more the "glowing bright hue of which other nations see as exceptional".
