Wisconsin residents are paying more for everything from gasoline to groceries, now is not the time to stifle our economy by placing more burden on job creators, rather we must partner with business to foster growth and bring more good paying jobs to our area.
We must invest in our people to ensure that they are properly trained for the jobs of today, and tomorrow. I support tax credits for employer assisted higher education so that employers might invest in their employees. This would assure that Wisconsin maintains a well-trained and educated workforce.
I am the author of the Small Business Regulatory Reform Act. Passage of this bill would reduce the regulatory burden on our small employers and give job creators more of a voice in the creation of government regulation.
I support the creation of rural job creation zones that would give employers incentives to locate in rural communities. This would give communities in rural areas tools to reduce unemployment.
