Derek will take his background as Vice-President of the Pierce County Economic Development Board to Congress to drive growth to our economy and help our nation's small businesses.

Derek led the effort in Olympia to pass an historic JOBS bill to put more than 20,000 Washingtonians back to work.

Derek has passed legislation to create over 400 new jobs with construction of a new hospital on the Peninsula.

As a member of Congress, Derek will work to continue the legacy of Congressman Norm Dicks and his tenacious focus on creating family-wage jobs with good benefits.
