Sen. Brown Calls on Congress to Enact New Stolen Valor Act to Prevent Fraudulent Claims

Location: Washington, DC

U.S. Senator Scott Brown (R-MA) issued the following statement on the U.S. Supreme Court's decision overturning the Stolen Valor Act:

"It is wrong for people to make fraudulent statements in order to receive distinctions that they have not earned. Thursday's Supreme Court ruling shows how important it is for Congress to enact my legislation. We need to ensure that no one can benefit from making false claims and steal the true valor of the deserving few."
