We absolutely need to increase vehicle capacity on the bridges between Vancouver and Portland. Unfortunately, the current plans for the I-5 bridge spend money without adding additional through lanes for traffic. Instead, it adds light rail thinking this will reduce the number of vehicles crossing the bridge. However, studies have shown commute times to downtown Portland via light rail exceeds the time for buses. I support a third bridge alternative either west of I-5 or east of I-205.
