American's reputation in the international community has been damaged by unnecessary wars and police actions which have not benefited the United States while costing thousands of American lives and billions of dollars. The exorbitant financial cost has also placed further strain on the budget during difficult economic times.
American soldiers continue to serve with distinction in difficult conditions; however, it is time to rebuild America. For this reason, soldiers should be gradually brought home from Afghanistan as the Afghanistan National Army continues to take responsibility for security and combat operations. The draw down of American soldiers should be done in a responsible manner. Future military actions should only occur with authorization by the legislative branch.
All foreign aid should be reviewed to ensure that it is in line with our national interest, human rights and moral convictions. If the foreign aid does not line up with those interests, then it should be cut.
