Candidates seeking office often state that they will fight to bring jobs back to America. While that's all well and good, it's important to get to the root of the problem; our monetary system. I will attempt to introduce a law or an amendment to the Constitution that would end the independence of the Federal Reserve and place it under Congressional oversight with 100% transparency. Seeing as how the scene of crops and livestock are not new to me, I would also defend the farmers of the 4th District from intrusion by the Federal Government. I would oppose all mandatory tracking of livestock and the FDA's mandate of what a person can and can not consume. It's the job of the farmer to take care of our food supply, not the government's. Also, if one wishes to consume raw milk, that is their business, not the government's. I will fight to maintain Internet freedom by opposing SOPA, PIPA, and other forms of legislation that would censor this vibrant medium. Another threat to the economy is the concept of software patents. Software belongs in copyright, not the patent arena. Software patents interfere with the free market when it comes to software, so I would introduce legislation that would abolish all software patents. If a software company wishes to succeed, let it be on their own merits and ability to produce a quality product, not the ability to bully competition out of business.
