Issue Position

The Bridge that crosses the Missouri River on Highway 47 at Washington, MO needs to be replaced. It is a vital link for Missouri's new 3rd Congressional District. Without this bridge there would be no crossing for 60 miles. See MODOT Site for more information.

With sound and fair tax reform we can fund this project and others in Missouri's new 3rd Congressional district, across the state and nation. We need to close the loop-holes and tax exemptions and invest those funds in the infrastructure needs of the nation.

This creates new jobs with livable wages. These jobs will create other jobs supported by the new infrastructure. These workers become "Job Creators".

As a Small Business Owner, I know the importance of our transportation infrastructure for the country's economy and businesses.

My opponent has signed the Norquest pledge. They will not reform taxes. They will cut funding to vital infrastructure needs of our district and country.

Tax breaks and exemptions for the few do not create jobs, new bridges and roads do.

Without new infrastructure the economy starts to crumble, just like our bridges.
