Congressman Diane Black (R-TN) issued the following statement regarding Attorney General Eric Holder's decision to continue withholding documents from the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee:
"It's completely unacceptable that Eric Holder refused - yet again - to turn over the documents demanded by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. I commend Chairman Issa for moving forward with the contempt of Congress vote tomorrow. Mr. Holder's deliberate efforts to mislead Congress on the controversial "gun-walking" used in Operation Fast and Furious has disgraced the Justice Department and the position of Attorney General. His refusal to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate the national security leaks and his attack on state immigration and voter ID laws have further compromised our national security and undermine our constitution. It's long past time for him to resign from office," said Congressman Black.
