Boswell Announces Major Transportation Grant for Des Moines

Congressman Leonard Boswell (IA-3) today announced the U.S. Department of Transportation has awarded the City of Des Moines $10 million under the TIGER (Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery) program.

"This funding will help the City of Des Moines complete construction of the Southeast Connector, a major transportation infrastructure project and top priority of the city," Boswell said. "The project will bring a wealth of economic opportunity to Des Moines and central Iowa, creating jobs and expanding business opportunities in the region. This project has been a top priority of mine, and will continue to be a priority until it is fully completed."
