I grew-up on a Fourth District farm outside the small town of Archie. Lowell and I still live on a working farm today. Like you we know Fourth District farmers and ranchers help feed the world. And even though we raise corn, soybeans, wheat, pork and beef, we also buy groceries. It is vital that we continue to ensure American agriculture remains the safest, most affordable and abundant food supply in the world.
On the House Agriculture committee I have worked to expand markets around the world. I have helped lead the fight to defeat Obama Administration attempts to bury our family farmers with nonsensical, cost-raising and job killing red-tape and regulations.
Open markets, available capital, increased competition and the freedom to innovate allow our farmers and ranchers to build better lives for our families as we provide more food at a lower cost for people here and around the world.
