Representative Erik Paulsen (MN-03), member of the House Ways and Means Committee, today issued the following statements in response to the announcement of the invitation for Canada to join the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) negotiations:
"It has been an important week for Minnesota and American trade. I am pleased with the news that Canada has been invited to join the TPP talks. Our neighbor to the north serves as Minnesota's largest export destination with $5 billion in annual exports. Canada's participation in the TPP negotiations is a positive step forward, and will benefit Minnesota workers and job creators."
