Statement on the Supreme Court's Ruling on the Affordable Care Act

In response to the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling this morning on the constitutionality of the Affordable Care Act, Congressman Green released the following statement:

"I am very pleased by the decision from the Supreme Court today. The Affordable Care Act has already benefited millions of Americans and will continue to help those who are in greatest need of health insurance: children, young adults, people with pre-existing conditions, and people who are financially constrained. Coming from the 29th Congressional District of Texas, this is particularly important because we have one of the highest rates of uninsured individuals in the country. It's good to be able to move past the question of constitutionality and continue implementing the bill."

Congressman Green served on the House Energy and Commerce's Subcommittee on Health which drafted the Affordable Care Act.
