The Montana Chamber of Commerce today announced that Congressman Denny Rehberg has earned their endorsement in Montana's 2012 U.S. Senate race.

In a press release announcing their endorsement, the Montana Chamber of Commerce said they are "impressed with Rehberg's consistent voting record" on behalf of the state's job-creators and "felt Rehberg would be more of a check on federal regulatory agencies like the EPA and the NLRB."

Rehberg is an independent-minded leader who acts as a consistent check and balance on President Barack Obama and Senator Jon Tester's liberal Washington agenda of over-regulating and over-taxing Montana job creators.

"Creating good-paying Montana jobs is my number-one priority, so I am honored the have earned the endorsement of the Montana Chamber, which represents so many of our state's job creating businesses," said Rehberg. "I'll continue to stand up against Washington's job-killing culture of over-taxing and over-regulating, so we can give Montana businesses the certainty they need to create jobs and get our economy back on track."

Owing to his strong, pro-jobs record, Rehberg has already earned the endorsement of the Montana Contractors' Association (MCA), as well as that of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

MCA President Russ Olsen, an owner of R & R Taylor Construction in Bozeman, said that "Denny has been a tireless advocate for economic growth and development that creates jobs and fosters a strong construction industry. We are pleased to offer our support."

U.S. Chamber of Commerce President Thomas J. Donohue noted Rehberg's record in support of "legislation that encourages economic growth, job creation, and a less intrusive federal government."

Questions on the Montana Chamber of Commerce endorsement of Denny Rehberg may be directed to Jon Bennion, Government Relations Director.
