Issue Position

I've created relationships with the schools in my district by visiting with principals, recruiting students to Page at the Capitol and speaking at events to encourage our youth to stay in school and strive for success.
I work collaboratively with members of the school board to advocate on behalf of the students on the state level. I know that Georgia can do better by our children when it comes to providing a world class education. It starts with maintaining and expanding our Pre-K program, providing flexibility and resources to our teachers and creating educational environments that motivate children to want to learn and stay in school.

I support ALL public schools, traditional and charter, and fight legislation that seeks to continue the massive budget cuts and misappropriation of funds that have crippled our school system. We must not let corporations take the lead in developing our children's educational future based solely on profit
