As a Member of the Oversight and Government Reform Committee, Congressman Connie Mack (FL-14) voted this afternoon in favor of a measure to find Attorney General Eric Holder guilty of contempt of Congress over the botched "Fast and Furious" program under the jurisdiction of the Justice Department. During the proceeding with the Committee however, the Attorney General and President Obama exercised the legal maneuver of "Executive Privilege," meaning that President Obama had direct knowledge of the incidents around the botched "Fast and Furious" program that resulted in the death of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry.
Of the latest maneuvering of President Obama and Attorney General Holder, Mack stated:
"What did President Obama know and when did he know it? All the evidence I have seen regarding Fast and Furious shows that what was once a failure at all levels of the Justice Department has now escalated into nothing short of Nixon style cover up of the affair orchestrated by President Obama."
