Rehberg Statement on President Obama's Announcement to Disregard Illegal Immigration Deportation Laws

Location: Washington, DC

Montana's Congressman, Denny Rehberg, released the following statement after President Obama announced today that he will allow up to 800,000 illegal immigrants to remain in the country, and seek employment and benefits without fear of deportation.

"We need to be working to secure our border against terrorists and illegal immigrants, not rewarding criminals for breaking the law. President Obama's plan gives illegal immigrants a free pass and is a slap in the face to America's law-abiding, hard-working citizens, including immigrants who follow the law. Congress has already said no, and I'll continue to be a check and balance to yet another shameful power grab by President Obama."
