Small and mid-size business owners are the backbone of our local economies and are fundamental to the growth of any community. As a civic leader, I have consistently worked with several local Chambers of Commerce to promote an encouraging atmosphere for business and job growth. At the same time, I have always balanced the integrity of a community when considering and promoting growth. A proper and reasonable balance between economic growth and community preservation is possible. Less taxation, promoting personal freedom and accountability and spending money wisely are all means to this end.
