Issue Position

For the past 35 years I have made my living as a small business owner and entrepreneur. I created, grew, and successfully sold two small businesses before starting my current business, The Star Group; a consulting firm focused on effective information management for small businesses. I understand the need for transparency and accountability in business management and those same principles are imperative for good governance.

I have championed small business development throughout my career. I served as a board member of the Denver Chamber of Commerce and chaired the Small Business Profit Center Council. Over twenty five years ago I developed the business plan and became the Founding Board Chair of the Denver Enterprise Center (DEC). This business incubator operated successfully for many years and was the starting point for many currently thriving Colorado businesses.

I believe that that state government should be focused on creating a environment where businesses can grow and prosper.
