I am honored to be the prime sponsor of House Bill 10-1001 for 2010 expanding Colorado's renewable energy portfolio to 30% by 2020. This bill was signed into law by the Governor on March 22. 2010 and it is anticipated that it will create over 10,000 new Green Jobs in the coming years.
With HB 1001 as support we will manufacture and install panels and turbines all over Colorado to capture free energy. The sun will always shine for free, the winds will always blow for free, and our energy production will be cleaner. Renewable energy, green jobs, and a cleaner future -- what's not to like?"
There were a almost a dozen bills in this year's legislative session focused on a renewable, sustainable energy economy.
