Indiana State Treasurer and U.S. Senate Candidate Richard Mourdock pointed out Congressman Joe Donnelly's track record of supporting President Obama's fiscal policies since he has been in office, including increasing the debt ceiling seven times. Yet, Congressman Donnelly has refused to directly respond to whether or not he will be voting for President Obama.
"Congressman Joe Donnelly sided with Obama and against Hoosiers by voting for the Wall Street bailouts, the failed stimulus program, and to increase government spending by increasing the debt ceiling 7 times since taking office," stated Treasurer Mourdock.
For nearly a week, Congressman Joe Donnelly has been directly asked about whether or not he will be voting for President Obama. To date, he has refused to answer the question regarding his support of the President.
"Why doesn't Congressman Joe Donnelly want to answer the Obama question? Simple, President Obama and his failed government policies are not popular with Hoosiers and threaten Indiana jobs.
"Congressman Donnelly, you are a reliable vote for the Obama-Pelosi-Reid agenda in Washington and you can't run away from that, even if you don't want to answer the Obama question," stated Treasurer Mourdock.
