In response to the vote on H.R. 436, GOP CD5 candidate Susan Brooks made the following statement:
"The U.S. House of Representatives took a courageous step late yesterday in support of Hoosier jobs when they voted to repeal the excise tax on medical device manufacturers to help fund Obamacare. More than 300 Hoosier companies employing 20,000+ of our citizens will be taxed starting Jan. 1, driving jobs, innovation, and economic prosperity out of Indiana and overseas where the cost of doing business is fast becoming far lower than in the U.S. The U.S. Senate should follow suit immediately."
