Putting East County back to work
As your State Senator, I have worked hard to provide small businesses with the capital they need to grow and expand and has supported infrastructure investments to put people back to work. I have also championed job creation by investing in community colleges and providing additional capital for small businesses.
But there's still a lot more to do to get our communities back to work: We must increase job skills training and education by better linking businesses and community colleges. We should continue to provide small busineses with the capital they need to expand, and invest in infrastructure projects like roads and bridges that put people back to work.
"There are lots of construction companies in Oregon, mine included, that can thank Laurie Monnes Anderson for increasing the number of job-creating road and bridge projects in this state." - Randy Russell, RJR Construction
"Laurie Monnes Anderson is a big reason why Mount Hood Community College helps so many East County people get the job training they need." - Solveig Nyberg, instructor, Mt. Hood Community College
