One of the most important things we need to ask of our state representatives in Jefferson City is an unyielding commitment to creating good, high-paying jobs in the state of Missouri. Job creation will be key to lasting economic growth.
This should be an issue politicians from both parties can rally around. Despite that, the Missouri legislature has failed to pass even a single jobs bill since the last election. They haven't done anything to encourage economic development. Too many of our representatives in Jeff City would rather play politics than get anything serious done.
I know we can do better. We need to take smart, innovative steps to attract private sector jobs to the 15th House District. We also need investments in infrastructure, research and development, education and public safety that will put folks to work and benefit the people of Missouri.
