Solution: Stop Government Waste Through Fiscal Responsibilty

As we are faced with the continued crippling tough economic times, I feel that we need to concentrate on getting back to our core competencies that the State of Oregon can provide to its "Customer", i.e. the citizens of the Oregon. The old and obsolete mindset of "tax and spend" is reactionary, and just isn't working for taxpayer/voter/constituent citizens any longer. Instead of coming up with new ways to tax Oregonians with new and increased taxes, that just will not work, the State of Oregon Government, needs to learn to live within its means, and effectively manage the resources they already have. Fiscal Responsibility in state government IS the "Sustainable" path forward to bringing jobs back to Oregon, and keeping them in Oregon.

With that being said, I feel that a "limited form of government" concentrate on fulfilling the needs of Oregonians, as described in the U.S. Constitution and Oregon Constitutions, thus investing in our future economy now, so that we can emerge from the recession we are in as a strong state, more fault tolerant of any future financial downturns. If elected, any decision I make, for, or even against the decisions made by members of Oregon Legislature, will be based on input from, and focused first on, satisfying the largest "Customer" base possible, Oregonians, to inclusively fulfill that "Customer" base's needs, above all else.
