Solution: Get the state government out of the way of job growth.
Being currently self employed, after a long period of being unemployed, I have a perspective on jobs, and job creation, that Representative Nathanson does not have. Being from Oregon, where unemployment is among the highest in the nation, I believe that it is the responsibility of the State of Oregon to provide the regulatory environment conducive to job creation, not contrary/restrictive to it. The State of Oregon should not be responsible for creating the the actual jobs themselves, within the State of Oregon Government, which only causes government to grow larger. As an advocate for limited government, based solely upon the tenets and duties detailed in the United States and Oregon Constitutions, I believe that businesses create and maintain the jobs, not the government. I believe that small businesses, specifically, are at the very heart and foundation of the economy of our great country, and should be encouraged to start-up and grow into big businesses, if they choose to do so.
