Rep. Cory Gardner (R-CO) is taking a stand for residents in southeast Colorado by voting in favor of continued funding for the Arkansas Valley Conduit water project.
"This water project is critical to the future of the Arkansas Valley and its residents," Gardner said. "It is important that we ensure the project is appropriately funded and completed."
The $2.8 million allocated for the Arkansas Valley Conduit was included in a bill to fund energy and water projects. Specifically, the money will go to the Army Corp of Engineers and Bureau of Reclamation, the two agencies tasked with managing water projects.
