Congressman Sam Farr received a 97% approval rating from the League of Conservation Voters (LCV) in their most recent National Environmental Scorecard for his pro-conservation voting record. The score was calculated based on key votes taken during the 1st session of the 112th Congress. Congressman Farr maintains a 95% lifetime approval from the LCV.
"I am proud that the League of Conservation Voters has honored me with a 97% approval score for the votes taken in support of a healthy, sustainable environment," said Congressman Sam Farr. "I look forward to continuing to work with them to further protect our natural resources and to look for alternative sources of energy to insure long-term sustainability for future generations."
The LCV has published a National Environmental Scorecard every Congress since 1970, the year it was founded by leaders of the environmental movement following the first Earth Day. This year's Scorecard represents the consensus of experts from 20 respected environmental and conservation organizations.
