Senator Landek was vital in the development and finding the financing and support for the stadium. The stadium is now the anchor for the Southland area and is the home of the Chicago Fire soccer team, special events, concerts, and events for the residents of Bridgeview.
Senator Landek is also advocating pension reform for state lawmakers to reduce benefits to elected officials starting with himself and to receive the same benefits that all state employees receive.
Under the legislation Landek has introduced, future elected state legislators will receive the same benefits as state employees.
"I think people should be rewarded for their work and earning a pension is important. Legislators should receive the same benefits as state workers and everyday workers in our state's economy. And I believe that when I propose something, it should apply to me first."
Senator Landek's priority is to create more jobs and strengthen the economy. His experience in bringing new business to Bridgeview and Lyons Township will extend through the entire 12th Senate District.
Landek has received the endorsement of labor, elected officials and the voters who had the confidence and trust to re-elect him to local office 12 different times because of his proven accomplishments during his career.
