Issue Position

We need to put America back to work by facilitating jobs in emerging technologies that will be both environmentally sound and competitive in the world. We must work with teachers, parents, and business, to offer better vocational training for our students attending junior college and prepare them with skills for quickly changing market requirements. We need to create a fair tax base so that we will have the means to invest in the rebuilding of our crumbling infrastructure, and support essential public services at the right level. We need to improve our financial infrastructure to honestly serve homeowners and small business, allowing the better creation of good jobs that will pay fair living wages. We must protect the rights for workers to organize and collectively bargain, while giving both employers and workers incentives to reach equitable agreements that are in the best interest of the whole community.
