Issue Position

I have a 100 percent pro-life voting record and have a 0 percent approval rating from the pro-abortion group, NARAL. As a husband, father and man of faith, I understand the importance of life and family values. That is why I support legislation restricting and regulating abortion and prohibiting the use of taxpayer funds by the government for abortion. I support a partial birth abortion ban, requiring parental consent, and limitations on RU 486. As a Member of Congress, I have worked to protect life by:

Prohibiting taxpayer funding be used for abortions,
Preventing foreign aid from being spent on abortions,
Defunding Planned Parenthood, and
Signing on as a cosponsor of legislation to ensure expectant mothers hear the baby's heart beat before considering abortion.
