Congressman Black's Statement on May Jobs Report

Press Release

Date: June 1, 2012
Location: Washington, DC

Today, Congressman Diane Black (R-TN) issued the following statement regarding the May jobs report:

"Today's disappointing jobs report is another harsh reminder of how severely President Obama's fiscal and economic policies have failed the American people. Upwards of 23 million Americans are either unemployed or underemployed. And their prospects for finding full time employment are persistently bleak after 40 straight months of unemployment at 8 percent or higher. It's clear that tax, spend, and regulate has not and will not be the recipe for economic recovery. To keep the American Dream alive, we must repeal Obamacare, enact pro-growth tax reform and provide regulatory relief for job creators," said Congressman Diane Black.
