Indiana State Treasurer and U.S. Senate Candidate Richard Mourdock challenged Democratic candidate Joe Donnelly over his continued support of ObamaCare, which is threatening Hoosier job growth.

"Indiana has weathered the financial hardships the past several years because of the pro-growth policies of Governor Daniels and the perseverance of Hoosier business leaders.

"ObamaCare -- especially when it comes to small businesses -- is threatening to undo those efforts by restricting job growth because of pending requirements and penalties related to employer sponsored health insurance plans," stated Treasurer Mourdock.

Congressman Donnelly recently reiterated his support for ObamaCare.

"We must repeal ObamaCare and replace it with common sense free-market reforms: allow employees to deduct 100% of their healthcare expenses, improve Health Savings Accounts, and let groups create association health plans, stated Treasurer Mourdock.

Last week, Congressman Donnelly sided against 43 Catholic organizations -- including the University of Notre Dame -- that sued the U.S. Dept of HHS over ObamaCare mandates such as abortion-inducing drugs, contraceptives and sterilization, which conflict with the moral principles of those organizations.

"It shouldn't come as a surprise that Congressman Donnelly continues to side with President Obama and his healthcare plan against Hoosiers of faith and small business owners. Voters will have a clear-cut choice on this issue in November," stated Mourdock spokesman Christopher Conner.
