In response to today's disappointing jobs report, U.S. Senator Bob Corker, R-Tenn., stressed the need for pro-growth tax reform combined with a plan to reduce the deficit and restore solvency to Medicare and Social Security.

"I'm convinced that the best thing we could do as a country to get past self-doubt and really cause our economy to take off is to focus on pro-growth tax reform that eliminates loopholes and lowers rates combined with a long-term plan to reduce the deficit and restore solvency to Medicare and Social Security. Our first best chance to do that is at the end of the year, and I continue to be hopeful that Congress will take advantage of the opportunity," Corker said.
