Business & Commerce Political Action Committee (BACPAC), the political arm of the Texas Business Association, recently announced its endorsement of Randy Weber for Congress (TX-14).
Texas Association of Business President & CEO, Bill Hammond stated in a letter to the campaign that Randy Weber was chosen by BACPAC as "the candidate best suited to promote a better business climate in Texas."
"Rep. Randy Weber is a small businessman who knows what it takes to create jobs and meet a payroll. In the Texas legislature, he has been successful in fighting unnecessary regulations, lowering taxes and promoting the free enterprise system. We believe he is the best candidate to promote those values in Congress with the proven conservative leadership to get our economy moving again," said Hammond.
"I am honored to have the endorsement of the TAB's political arm, BACPAC, and I pledge to be a Congressman that will restore our conservative, free market principles to Washington. By removing the obstacles that government, especially federal government, tends to throw in our way. We can reignite America's economic engine and get our country back on the right course to prosperity. It starts by repealing Obamacare and blocking this Administration's reckless liberal agenda, but that's just the beginning," said Weber.
A small businessman from Brazoria County for more than 31 years, Randy Weber understands that you cannot spend more money than you make. He is married to Brenda, a schoolteacher in Pearland, and they have 3 children and 4 grandchildren. In just his 3rd year in the Texas Legislature, Randy Weber has been successful in his fights to reduce the red tape and tax burden for more than 40,000 small businesses in Texas (HB 4765, 81st Session).
In addition, he helped cut wasteful spending by $29 billion, protected our business climate from lawsuit abuse, pushed for more border security, and passed historic anti-trafficking legislation to save women and children from the heartbreaking global black market.
His leadership and record has earned him an A+ from Texans for Fiscal Responsibility; an A+ from the NRA; and the endorsements from Texas Right to Life, Young Conservatives of Texas and numerous conservative public officials in the district.
