Mahlon Mitchell Remarks on Memorial Day

Statement

Mahlon Mitchell, Democratic nominee for Lt. Gov., released the following statement in honor of Memorial Day:

"I thank every veteran who has gone above and beyond to serve our great country. Let us honor, remember, and reflect upon those courageous men and women who have served our nation and state over the course of our history. As we pay solemn tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice, let us also remember those brave veterans among us who live in need of assistance--those who need a job, need a home, or have a family in need.

"Servicemen and women deserve more than just thanks, they deserve all the opportunity and promise that America represents. On this Memorial Day and everyday, we must honor them by standing up for the virtues and ideas they risk their lives to defend."
