The Foothills Conservative PAC, a grassroots organization of conservative activists in Polk County, released their list of candidate recommendations this week. Congressman Patrick McHenry received their overwhelming support in a sign of momentum heading into the final days of the Primary Election on Tuesday, May 8. North Carolina's 10th Congressional District has been redrawn to include all of Polk County, which was previously in the 11th District.
McHenry said, "I am pleased and honored to receive the support of the Foothills Conservative PAC in Polk County. I have enjoyed meeting with and listening to the voters here over the past few months, from visiting small businesses in Columbus to holding meet and greets throughout the county. I look forward to the opportunity to represent Polk County and appreciate this endorsement." He continued, "The Foothills Conservative PAC understands that grassroots activity is what will make the difference for the entire Republican ticket and deny Obama a victory in North Carolina in 2012."
