Issue Position

Creating jobs remains job number one, and I will continue fighting day and night for policies that will stimulate the economy and get this country moving again. During my time in the Senate, I have introduced a wide-ranging and ambitious Bay State Jobs Agenda targeted at boosting specific sectors of the Massachusetts economy and putting people back to work. I have hosted jobs fairs in Roxbury and Worcester aimed at matching job-seekers with Massachusetts employers. Recently, two pieces of my jobs agenda were signed into law by President Obama: tax breaks for companies that hire returning veterans and a repeal of a stealth tax that would have impacted small businesses and contractors across the country.
