Governor Susana Martinez announced today that she has appointed Jarod Hofacket of Deming as a judge for the 6th Judicial District Court. Hofacket practices law as a solo practitioner specializing in business law, estate planning and real estate transactions. During his time in private practice, Hofacket has also gained experience as a guardian ad litem in child abuse and neglect cases, and as a prosecutor for the City of Deming. Hofacket earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics from New Mexico State University and his law degree from Texas Tech University.
"Mr. Hofacket's legal expertise and knowledge of the 6th Judicial District will serve him well as judge," said Governor Martinez. "I believe he will be a strong public servant on behalf of New Mexicans and will be absolutely committed to upholding the laws of our state."
Hofacket fills the seat that was left vacant by the retirement of Judge Gary M. Jeffreys
