Issue Position

North Dakota is blessed with an abundance of oil, coal and natural gas. New technologies are making it possible for our state to help make America energy independent. North Dakota must share our natural resources with the nation, but not to the detriment of our neighbors and communities. We need a renewed commitment to stewardship and a balanced approach to resource development that accounts for the energy needs of the nation and -- most importantly -- for the well-being of North Dakotans in the path of the impact from new energy development.
