Today, Thomas Massie earned the endorsement of Gun Owners of America in his candidacy for the U.S. Congress in Kentucky.
Gun Owners of America (GOA) is a non-profit lobbying organization formed in 1975 to preserve and defend the Second Amendment rights of gun owners. Over the past 30 years, GOA has built a nationwide network of attorneys to help fight court battles in almost every state to protect gun-owner rights.
"I am proud to have the endorsement of Gun Owners of America," said Massie. "Politicians often give lip service to the Second Amendment but then go off to Washington and vote to restrict gun ownership. I will always stand alongside groups like GOA to protect our rights."
"Gun Owners of America is always looking for tough, principled leaders who will fight to protect our gun rights. And we've found one such leader in Thomas Massie," said Tim Macy, GOA's Vice Chairman.
Among gun owner rights advocates, Gun Owners of America is viewed as one of the most respected groups lobbying to protect Second Amendment rights.
Thomas Massie, 41, holds an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering and a graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from MIT. He is an award winning inventor, successful businessman, and farmer. Currently he serves as Judge Executive in Lewis County where he lives with his wife and four children on their family farm.
