Dear Friends,

On Friday, the House of Representatives voted to approve the Fiscal Year 2013 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) which authorizes funding and sets policy for the Department of Defense. The bill contains several provisions I helped to write that provide for better fitting and lighter-weight body armor, measures to further strengthen the military's sexual assault prevention policies, and language providing a critical first step to help ensure the retention of the military's mission at Hanscom Air Force Base.
