A strong and steadfast supporter of Israel and advocate for closer US -- Israeli relations, Congresswoman Betty Sutton (OH-13) voted today to pass H.R. 4133, the United States-Israel Enhanced Security Cooperation Act of 2012, which strengthens the bond between the two countries.
"Israel is not only our greatest ally in the Middle East, they are an example of a free, open, and democratic country in a region that often lacks those attributes," said Sutton. "I am proud to stand by Israel in reaffirming our country's dedication and commitment to our relationship, and by moving forward to create a safer and more secure Middle East."
Passed by a margin of 411 to 2, the United States-Israel Enhanced Security Cooperation Act of 2012 was co-sponsored by Sutton.
