I joined 63 of my House colleagues in sending a letter to Commissioner Douglas Shulman of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) asking for an explanation as to why conservative nonprofits are being meticulously targeted. These organizations seeking tax-exempt status have experienced extensive delays and received excessively burdensome information requests from the IRS beyond traditional requirements.
